How does shockwave work?
We are now offering focused shockwave therapy! This is a NEW and exciting non-invasive approach to treating pain and healing both acute and chronic injuries. It works by using piezoelectric pressure impulses that accelerate as a wave in the body and then breaks down old scar tissue and calcifications. These waves also boost metabolism, increase local blood circulation, and encourage damaged tissue to regenerate with healthy new cells. It is considered a breakthrough treatment in the realm of non-invasive, regenerative medicine. We are proud to be one of the first clinics in the region to offer this exciting therapy to our patients.
Locate Pain Point
The area to be treated is located using palpation in order to deliver therapy precisely.
A sufficient amount of gel is applied to the treatment area to transfer the sound waves efficiently and smoothly to the target tissue.
The Shockwave applicator is slightly pushed against the area to be treated and the waves do all the work.
