Spinal Decompression

Are you dealing with an old disc injury and/or sciatica? Try our new state-of-the-art spinal decompression table. It can be applied to your cervical (neck) or lumbar (low back) spine. It is a safe, non-surgical way to manage disc bulges and herniations.

What is spinal decompression?

Spinal decompression is a type of motorized traction that may help alleviate back and neck pain. It works by gently "stretching" the spine. The amount of force and angle pulled through your spine is determined by a calculation our doctors will make based on your body weight and the level of injury. The gentle pulling, reduces pressure on the spinal discs (cushions between vertebrae), creating negative pressure in the disc. That negative pressure may cause disc bulges or herniations to retract, taking pressure off nerves and other structures in the spine. This also helps to promote movement of oxygen, water, and nutrient rich fluids into the discs to aid in healing. We commonly use spinal decompression for back or neck pain with associated tingling/numbness radiating to the arms or legs and known disc injuries.
